No cold idle
No cold idle
2009 2.2 won’t idle cold, runs great warmed up. No check engine light until later.
1. changed evaporation solenoid, n/c. No change
2. Cleaned throttle body and replaced gasket, n/c
3. Cleaned map sensor, n/c
4. Found water low, filled reservoir and checked, n/c
5. Replaced throttle body, map sensor, iridium plugs, .040 gap, and evap sensor, again, n/c
6. re installed original components, n/c
7. Finally got check engine light. My tester showed no codes so took it to autozone.
8. code p0100 and p0700, pcm bad
9. Drove home disconnected battery for 30 minutes, ran smoothly, warmed up, no check engine light.
10. Cranked this morning same problem. Drove to oriellys, no codes showing. Borrowed fuel pressure tester.
11. pressure 60 psi the drops to 58 almost immediately. 5 minutes, 54 psi, lowered pressure to 18 psi, dropped to 10 psi over 30 minutes.
12. sprayed either around throttle body, vacuum lines, evap solenoid with no change in rpm.
13. Frustrated

Rule one. Never listen to guys at parts stores unless you know them. Most do not know anymore than what that computer tells them and the people who program the information are far from competent technicians.
You get no light with the MAF unplugged? Do you have a CEL with key on?

How many miles on the car?
Did you check for cooland inside the pressure cap? Any history of overheating?
P0100 means a problem with the "Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit." Need to check for damage or corroded connector, bent pin, chafed wire, etc. These are old cars. Wires can be corroded and broken inside even if the insulation looks fine. Work on it until you lose that code.
I woulda done a compression check when changing spark plugs.
