That would be CJ, not a part of this forum. I've been watching his progress too.

It's not actually mine... it belongs to another member of the DSLSJA... but I will see if he would be willing to part with it.

Ive started thinking about getting a little more "gettup!" out of my LS.....so the question I have is- should I just look for an SS drivetrain and swap it in, or try to boost my 2.2? I can get an HHR SS motor and auto trans from a yark local for somewhere under $3 k....any thoughts gang?

My first question would be to the people who are doing the SC; what HP are they dynoing at after the install? To my knowledge there is only one of each that are running and one, a 2.2, is still adjusting the tuning and hasn't dyno'd yet. If they are getting close to SS numbers, then I'd go that route. It's gonna take a lot to get ~140hp to ~270hp though.

it will be about 240 hp. 250 is the max for the stock motor. about 220 at the wheels. ps a motor swap will cost you thousands more than this. this will cost about 2k. and can we please stop hijacking my thread

well ive started to reconsider supercharging and looking more towards a turbo, theres more room to expand with the turbo setup and i founf a reasonable setup for the ecotec, its non intercooled but i want to start out small and work my way up.

Consider the new TVS blower from Eaton. It's head and shoulders above the M series stuff.
