Trifecta Tune
If you have basic computer skills (can you download a movie, read an email?) and a laptop, you can do it yourself. I did mine (2.2 auto, stock) last weekend. It took about 10 minutes of computer work, downloading and installing drivers, then about 20 minutes to install. Plug it in, click start and wait for it to finish. The results are good, but not amazing. The slow downshift response is gone as is the flat spot below 3000 RPM. Performs better because of the differences in response. Hurt the mileage a little though, dropped about 2 mpg. Install was easy, no problems. Plug and Play.

Bookman that may be the results you had with your 2.2 but my SS loved the tune!! I went from 235hp to just over 300hp and I actually get about 2+ better mpg.. I wonder why you had that experience with the tune.. Hmmmmmm maybe because its not a turbo? that is the onlt thing I can figure...

Possibly where its stock. Generally most tunes benefit from increased airflow and fuel; ie intake, exhaust, ignition, etc. and vice versa. Most bolt ons will yield much higher gains when tuned. And just like stock it will take a while to learn so economy and power could further improve. Also trifecta offers different tunes and even canned tunes. As soon as my bonus is in I'm getting a complete exhaust, intake , maf sensor and then tuning it.

prince , don't worry about the other stuff, you have the K&N, just have Vince tune it, what He does to the tranny will amaze you . Of course it's a bigger difference with an SS, but you will be happy. I keep thinking my panel is broken, right after I drive the short bus.

Drop of 2 mpg makes it equal to a stock 2.4L
Probably worth it for the better performance.
