Turbo, what is needed
Turbo for 2.4
But seriously, folks, do you know of anyone who offers a turbo for the 2.4? I'd be willing to pay $4K to have one installed...
If I recall, someone had a bad experience trying to get/have one installed by a vendor.

I agee It would be Cheaper, more reliable and easier To buy a SS.
often bolt on systems have many issues and less reliable. You also will often not see the gains as you would with a 2.0.
Just look at the changes GM did to put a turbo on and you will see the areas that often need attention for long term use.
Also a good working knowledge of turbo systems is something that would help. THat way when something goes wrong you can work on it as the dealer will not.

Do you really want to do this?
Check out the changes in the 2.0 engine, the forged this and the upgraded that, and make sure you want to use an unmodified 2.2 or 2.4 as the substrate for a bolt-on turbo. You can't put the 2.0's strengthened parts into a 2.2 or 2.4, so your choices are to replace the engine with the 2.0 and its turbo, trade for an SS, or use an unmodified engine. If you start from an unmodified engine and blow it up then your choices are either go back to stock by buying another engine, install the engine and turbo from an SS, or trade a modified vehicle with a destroyed engine toward an SS. Adding a turbo like this is just too risky! if you want a turbo, buy a car that was built to come with one!
