There's another thing to overcome. The SS 2.0 engine uses a different 5 speed, axles, linkage and shifter than the regular HHR's use.

Forgot about the entire suspension and steering column and steering knuckles and LCAs.

Converting to a manual is harder than converting everything? Why, You would just need some interior trim pieces around the shift lever and boot and maybe a motor mount.

You know, with the auto, you can build boost while waiting to launch(launch control). The manual has launch control also, but you can't build boost, because there's no load.

I love the manual, too, but that's a really nice feature.

contrary to what others have posted, you could bolt the turbo setup on. You’d need to tune it and forged bottom end and a nice clutch would be recommended. Stay with the F23 if your base model is a 5 speed

OK, now you must elaborate.
What do you do about the extra sensors?
What about the TCM?
How to find a computer guy that knows how?
Wiring harness?
Intercooler?
Intake manifold/injectors?
Lots of other questions.

WOT box claims to provide NLS and launch control, the SS already has both. How is their product different? Do you have experience with the WOT box?

I'm going to have to pay attention to my boost gauge while in launch control, see if it builds more than 2 or 3 psi.

there aren’t extra sensors. Run the 2.2 harness and computer. No tcm (or delete it, I did). You tune with hptuners, intercooler and charge pipes would work on a base model with the ss manifolds. You could use 80lb injectors and you’d have lots of fuel.
