Using Air raid CAI kit with 2.2 Manual trans

Anybody know why this application states it's for an automatic only? I have a 2009 hhr ls 2.2 w/ 5 speed that I would like to put a cold air system on, one preferably with a sealed box. Any thoughts or suggestions would be stellar. Thanks

With a 5spd the engine is angled back a bit, so there may be a clearance issue with the cowl ( rear lip of engine bay), however I seem to remember someone posting that it worked out ok. If anyone local has one maybe you could have a trial fit.

Cool thanks for the info! If anything maybe I could trim the air filter housing accordingly.

you will have to see if the mount points are in the same location... you can also try the K&N kit also, they say it doesnt fit 2.2 but it does..up to you.

If i remember correctly, there are 3 rubber grommets that snap the housing into place

[IMG][/IMG] This is on an 07 2.2 automatic. A little adjustment on the 2 front mounting screws, works great for the past 4 + years.
