I am thinking about purchasing a cold air intake for my car, and I have seen available two different types.....one is the Airaid version which has a box that contains the filter and it seals against the inside of the hood and the other has a filter that just kind of snakes around to the passengerside of the motor cavity, with no box around it....

Can someone explain to me the difference and which is the better of the two styles?

I want to get one, but I don't know which one would be the best or are they both the same in performance?

thats an arguement best left unanswered. use the search function there are a bunch of threads on this. I didnt like the design of any of them so im building my own. just look for the thread custom air intake and my finished product should be up there soon.
