what do you look for to tell a 2.2 from 2.4 from under the hood?

Under the hood there is a emission decal that starts with the engine size in the upper left corner.

Are you looking to buy a HHR?

 

Maybe he orded one, and wanted to verify the engine size. That was one of the first things I looked for when I got mine. Not a bad idea considering some mix ups that may occur. lol You are funny Capt. Answer a question with a question! hahahaha!

 

Nah, I know he has an red LS with the 2.2 from previous posts. That was my failed attempt at humor. My guess is that he is hoping Chevy screwed up and stuck a 2.4 in his LS.

just curious, other than sticker is there anything that a person could tell the two apart? or is it just internal i have LS with 2.2

 

That's sometimes not right. My Camaro had the 3.4 L V6 emmission and belt routing stickers on it from the factory, instead of the 5.7 L V8 info. There are some visual differences, so I've been told. I'll track down a 2.2 today and see if I notice anything.

 

Look for your RPO build sticker (glove box door):

LE5 = 2.4L
L61 = 2.2L
