2.4 L Ecu-pcm

Guys maybe someone can help me with this? I am going to swap my 2.2 for a 2.4 eco, i already have the motor with engine wiring harness. I am wondering what PCM i am going to need? Part#?? Also are the engine controll computers the same for standard -auto trans?
My HHR is a 2006 -5-Speed. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Greg

I've always had great luck getting part numbers from the guys at the parts counter at my dealer. It's worth a try.

BTW, Matt @ Tune Time does a great job tuning for the 2.4.

Before I forget WELCOME!!!

So why such a big undertaking?

According to my parts guy....

the ECM (I'm assuming that's what you mean) part # 12603530. It comes "blank" and would need to be flashed, for whatever your needs/accessories are.

I wouldn't think it would..
My ECM is out of my vehicle getting its second update (Reflash)
But to totally load it , I would ask one of the tuners for sure...

I don't think it needs to be installed to be flashed. When I was going to have a "reflash" done to my ECM, I made the vendors aware that I was supplying a "virgin" module. I believe I was informed they would flash with OEM requirements, then to my requirements. You will lose a couple of readings....i.e., trip odometers, etc., with a virgin reflash.

But, as HV states, check with the people that provide the reflash service.
