I have heard that the ECU and Pcm are not the same....You would need to actually ask the dealer first....Before you swap the motor and it doesnt work without a Flash....

Incompatible.

'06 2.2 > E16a ECM (old 16 bit data bus)
'07 & '08 2.2 > upgraded to new E37 ECM
'06 & '07 2.4 > newer E67 ECM
'08 2.4 > switched to E37 (now the common HHR ECM with same harness)
'08 2.0 SS > Bosch E69 ECM (whole new animal for DI)
