aftermarket headers

Does anybody make anything for our application yet, or is it the same as the coblats ? if so, they have headers out for them already, so does this mean it'll fit the hhr as well ?

dont think so, you know anything infront of the converter voids the warranty right

And wouldn't it just be a single header rather than two seeing as how it is an inline four cylinder?

well, you know what i meant, and to the voiding of the warranty, like a header will hurt my motor. I just curious to see if there was anything available and i guess not.

The Ecotec 2.2 litre is same engine in the J-Body (Cobalt/Cavalier). The only problem I could see the HHR would have is the exhaust manifold may have different ports than the J-Body.

It has the same ports because the head of a 2003-2005 J-body is the same, and a 2.2 cobalt head is also the same as a 2.2 HHR head. The problem would be if it cleared the firewall, and the steering rack.

GM performance makes a header for the cobalt...I figure if you adapt that one, you're golden.

The headers for the HHR and Cobalt are the same. A friend here in Tucson has a Cobalt with the 2.2 like I have and we got bored one weekend and test fitted his header to my HHR and it fit! Header was made by SCDyne. If you check JonyyB's other forum www.cobaltss.net they have a 2.4L Performance forum and have all kinds of performance stuff in there. You might try it out! Hope this helps!
