well darn!!! I installed my Airaid and recorded a wave file of the sound of the engine revving , and was going to post it here but a .wav isn't a valid file extension 
for an attachment...
I didn't find it that much louder from the interior BUT #1 I am a musican and have probably lost hearing past 8k and #2 I didn't take it out on the road yet
