Cool, I read your initial post and was happy to see your response to the tune. I'm at the same place (mod wise) and am looking at a header to add before I tune. Thanks for the quick response.

We now return you to your "Diablo sport tuning" thread.

What is the difference between Tune Time and Diablo? I noticed a great improvement in my car with Tune Time.
There really will not be a differance bettween the too, except Diablo is a hand held tuning device that can hold up to three differnt tune's. Where as your Tune time you have to send them your ECU and have your car down till you get it back.

That's where I was lucky. I live about an hour away so I just drove there.

Now, what would the need be for different tunes? Right now, my car has more horsepower, better shift points, and better mpg. Why would I want to change to another channel? I can not imagine getting up one day and saying "Gee, my car is running a little to quick for me. I think I will switch to a different tune and make my car a little bit slower today".

Lee, what 's with the Autolite sparks? something I missed one day in the forum?
I did catch some folks putting Bosch platinums in their 2.2s, but the plugs were thought to actually hinder the 2.4s. If I am remembering correctly.

I am interested in some of the bolt on performance options. No more rebuilding engines for me. I still have a Corvair convertible with a four carb 140 that I need to do some valve work on.........sigh I'm gettin' old..

I took off the IMCO and went back to stock, but have wanted to tune the HHR since Ludicriss first came on the forum. I can drive to his place, but it will be an all day event.

Is your ride being worked on yet? The appraiser do his/her thing?

It will probably be different on the Ecotec but on my Mustang it was a piggyback chip connected to a three position toggle switch so you could change tunes on the fly with no hassle. When I would take my Mustang in for service I would always flip my chip back to stock tune so there was no way to detect anything, not just via them plugging it in but they also couldn't tell if they had to drive it. My custom tune gave the best performance but also ate the most gas. The preset tune was a good balance of both power and fuel economy. If I remember correctly you could have them clear the preset tune and put two custom tunes if you want so you could have a different tune for both street and track. I don't know how Diablo operates now seeing as how I haven't had my Mustang in some time but when I purchased my chip they offered a single basic one tune chip for someone that didn't see a point in multiple tunes like yourself or for a couple hundred more you could get the flip chip like I had. Diablo is the definitive name in Mustang, Lightning, and Cobra tuning! Nobody can unlock the power of a vehicle like them!

One reson you would want to be able to switch tunes is if you are useing Nitrous and want to retard the timeing for a larger shot. So you could have your advanced timing for daily street driving and a nitrous tune for the track. Or how about even a valet mode with lower rev limeter for when someone else drives your car.

Cool ideas, but remeber folks we are driving grocery getters! No Nitrous need apply. at least not until the SS version appears

Yeah, I was kind of thinking the same. We already have 3 good vendors who do re-programs, why would we need to support another who is not a supporting contributor (especially one that has specialized in Ford products ).
