GMPP Turbo Kit for 2.4L ?

The Saturn Sky forum has a member that recently spent some time with Saturn officials, and they told him that GMPP (GM Performance Parts) is coming out with a turbo kit for the 2.4L Ecotec. It's unknown when it will be released, but based on how long it took to release the 2.2L supercharger kit, it probably won't be available until next year or late this year. Check out the blurb about the kit at:

OK But what is this about a supercharger for the 2.2? Tis is not the one for the cavs and the sunfires is it? Is there a supercharger kit for the new 2.2 liter ecotec?

When I referred to a 2.2L supercharger, I meant the kit intended for the Ecotec 2.2. Officially it's listed as made for 02-05 Cavaliers and Sunfires with the 2.2L Ecotec, but it could probably be made to fit and work on an HHR with the 2.2L ecotec. The GMPP # is 17800003.

no it wont work the throttle setup is different the one people have made work is the one from the 2.0l changin injectors and manifold, but even then the tune is a problem. ALpines Turbo is the only solution for the 2.2's

How is the throttle setup different? I thought all Ecos were throttle-by-wire?

First of all the 2.2l Ecotec that is in the J-Body does not have the same ECM language of the Delta 2.2L, the S/C is only for the J-Body I just install one in my Cavalier, it should be ready for next week!! But if you can work with your ec m programation, physicaly it can be install, for sure it not very bolt on but nothing is impossible

Throtle of new Ecotec use a electric motor, no more cable but that should not be a problem for people that know how to tuned the ECM after installing the S/C
