That vinyl kit really does look awkward still, and maybe he hasn't responses because the car went boom?

He has not responded to my email.

(Hope he doesn't "blow up")

He must have not thought about the safety concerns, and is to embarassed to admit/show it.

That picture has been on several sites. It is not a picture of an HHR exhaust. Gibson does not make a dual exhaust system for the HHR. (*We should know - we are a Gibson dealer!) If you read the fine print right under the pic it says:

(Sample image shown. Actual part may differ)

Still no duals for the HHR......yet!

I don't know about all of you, but dual exhaust outlets doesn't have as much to do with power as it does with appearence. I personally think the body styling of the HHR lends itself well to the look of dual exhaust tips sticking out from under the rear apron. A couple of my friends from the Focus forums have dualed out their exhaust because the body kit they've chosen has dual outlet provisions. And although these cars aren't power houses it sure is appealing to the eye and both have won numerous car shows to back that up. I agree that this mod isn't for everyone, but I still live by the old adage that if you can't say something positive then it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself. -Dan.....flame away

Thanks Mike, and just for the record I wasn't trying to be crass. But let's face it, we all do things (or nothing) to our rides as a means of personalization and to be unique. We do the things that appeal to us, not to impress others (this does help in the ego department). Although some folks do stuff to their ride that doesn't appeal to me, you will never hear me say so. I would rather not say anything than to be insulting to others. Yeah, lots of stuff we do are basically useless, like my dummy lake pipes, my old tyme script, blue dots, an after market grille, and yes.....even dual outlet exhaust or my moon eyes. None of the above adds HP / torque, but to the beholder it adds his / her personal touch, and character, isn't that the real back bone of hot rodding and customization? One of the reason's I joined this forum is because it had value, people were allowed to post things they've done to their HHR just to simply share what they're doing, but lately I'm seeing more insulting replies and negativity. So I for one will still linger, but will keep my mods to myself unless things go back the way they were early on. -Dan
