Hey, I have dummy Lake Pipes too...and I think your ride is very cool.

Everyone should just make their HHR the way they want it and if you don't like someone's mod - keep it to yourself.

Not everyone has the same taste.

Whatever you do Dan - don't be put off!

I hear ya Mike, but I just don't understand where someone can see the purpose of non-functional lake pipes but can't see the purpose of blue dots, or someone can see the purpose of the old style Chevrolet scripts and decals but can't see the purpose of moon eye decals, or they like the after market grilles but are put off by the usless roof rails. None of these thing's aid in the performance and all are purely cosmetic, but some get insults while others get praise......I just don't get it.

Whoa, what did I miss Did someone insult the mods you did to your HHR? Looked like everyone here gave ya the up.

Ah, you must have missed a few threads. Nothing real hazardous, just a couple of insults. Some people can see what they're doing with perfect clarity but if it doesn't meet their criteria it is attacked with insultes, just not my way of doing things. Hell. I'm not perfect......just opinionated

LOL I gotcha Dan... I thought I read all threads but musta missed some of the finer points, so to speak.

It's all good, just so long as people's mod "opinions" don't turn into "bashing" sessions. (& turning one HHR owner against another)

There have been many mods I liked and some I just thought was plain wrong, but everyone has a different taste. If I like, I let them know and If I don't, I do not respond unless it in a positive manner. Mike has always been informative and as courtious as anyone on this forum and I don't think he meant any respect. Dan you have a great ride. What so great about the HHR is that they can be cutomized in so many differant ways and cosmetics is one of the reason I bought mine. It sure was'nt performance. I might have bought a Manum if I wanted that.

I have to agree with you, Mike has alway's been a great source of information and a very positive influence on this forum. Please don't misunderstand my ranting, it had absolutely nothing to do with Mike. I actually look forward to his input (and many others). That's why I'm here.

I would not worry what someone else has to say. Your car is your car, it should show off who you are not someone else. IF you like it thats what counts. I do not like the rails on top, but that is not so say I have not seem some that look nice. They are just not for me. I am not one to go and do all kinds of mods money being the main reason why, but that does not mean I do not like looking at what others do. I love check the site everyday to see if someone posted pics of new things done.
So screw anyone that does not like what you do and keep making the car look how you want it. And you better keep posting any new pics

Why would you let someones words bother you? If I post something I do and every single person on this board tells me it looks like s**t it doesn't bother me one bit. Everything I do to my vehicle is for myself and no one else. People are entitled to their own opinions and if someone asks for it I'll give it. Don't post a mod if you expect 100% positive feedback and want everyone sucking your balls saying it's the greatest thing on earth, it's not going to happen because peoples tastes are different. But there is a line that shouldn't be crossed. It's when the attacks become personal that I get upset. Go ahead and tell me my mod looks like s**t just don't start calling me an idiot for doing so. I never realized how many overly sensitive people there were in this world until I joined this board. There is nothing wrong with stating your opinion. What happened to your first amendment right of freedom of speech? By you asking people to keep their mouths shut you are asking us to give up one of our greatest liberties as Americans and I refuse.
