*BTW: It is not a "CAI" (cold air intake), the intake shown is a short ram - meaning it derives it's air from "hot" underhood air. A true "CAI" pulls supposedly "cool" air from outside the engine compartment and is fully sealed from angine heat to do so. Really a moot point on the HHR as dyno testing has shown that the Ecotec actually makes more hp at hotter temps. Just another way this vehicle has defied the status quo regarding what works with engine mods.

If the AEM happens, it will be interesting to see just how it performs...

You know I'm not slamming anything Mike, but would that mean the the CGS is closer to being a short ram than a CAI?

The CGS is not billed as a CAI, never was. By design, it would be considered a "long ram" intake as it's runner length is almost 3 times that of the AiRaid or K&N Units. Bottom line is that their design works the best (of the current crop of intakes), on the HHR.

The only HHR intake currently on the market that "calls itself" a CAI is the AiRaid system. However it is not a true cold air intake; as it is not fully sealed and draws lots of hot engine air from the radiator area (the whole front of the unit is open).

Hope it helps,

I missed them originally Mike (broken foot, meds...etc.), but I just dug around and found them. Looking good! I would really like to see a closeup of the graphic at the end of the pinstripe, and I'm sure many others here would as well.

When you have the time...
