Well, if you think about it, there's just not a lot of competition in the Ecotec parts market, especially for the LE5. If it were a 350 Chevy, all those parts you'd throw at the engine to get the same percentage power increase would cost 1/3 to 1/2 as much. A lot of that stuff is waaaay overpriced for what it is--especially the intakes and headers.

Did you replace the stock intake manifold with a fabbed intake with the LS1 throttle body or just put on an air tube?

Cool

13.2 for WOT seems kind of lean. Do you fear for burning a valve? I had a tune done once on my '95 Vette by PCMFORLESS and they kept the WOT A/F ratio in the 12's I think 12.6.

How are you tuning the ecotec? Is the PCM flash EEPROM? What kind of cable and software do you need?

Those are pretty good numbers. Looks like the heat is killing you though. I can't remember who posted it, but there was an auto cobalt that put down 180ish wit the only other mod in addition to yours was the injector swap.

Nope 13.2 is right were most N/A engines like to be, I am companding a 12.9 AFR, but the tailpipe sniffer is reading a 13.2 so I should be alittle richer really.

Yea the heat was a big factor with these numbers. I did this just for fun.

I had my car tuned by TuneTime, have the Autolite plugs, IMCO muffler combined with a lakepipe/dual exhaust, CGS intake with outlaw cleaner. Using my Escort G-Timer on a slightly uphill city street with a curve, it calculated a quater mile time of 15.9 at 85 mph. And using a weight of 3227 pounds (registration number) it gave me 213 hp.

I would love to believe this is true!!!

Sorry to say i don't think that's true either. I've been wanting to dyno my motor and I think i'm barley putting 200 crank. You really can't trust those meters. They're not that accurate.
