No cooling fan when overheat/AC + electrical anomalies.

It's a 2.4L hhr LS, i have 223k+ miles on it.

The cooling fan isn't running when the AC is on, or when overheating.

Checked fuse and relay, both are fine. Wires are fine. Had the same issue 6 months ago and fixed it by grounding it.

Same stuff applies now. When we tested the relay "ports" (where it plugs in on the fuse box) it came back normal. It's somehow losing connection between there, and the way down either harness or fuse box. Fuse box pins have no burnt connections.

Could it be the computer controlling the fan, or, the wire harness needs replaced. We are at a loss because I don't know how this even works, or doesn't work.

second fun part.

0014 & 0017 and 0118. And 1174...

14- exhaust (b) camshaft position timing over advanced (odd because we just replaced timing & balance + whole head of engine)

17- crankshaft position camshaft position correlation bank 1 sensor b

118-engine coolant temperature sensor circuit high voltage.

1174- fuel trim cylinder balance.

Looking at this as a whole, i feel as it's just electrical. We replaced fuel pump and i reset the codes, I'm going to drive around for a few days and see what pops back up.

I can hear the timing is off, but i feel as it's electrical. We lined up the marks picture perfect along with balance.

The car has stayed in the family through all owners. I just want my orange boy.

You will definitely have to replace the timing chain! The sensors are telling you it’s loose with that P0014 and P0017.

the P0118 code indicates a possible failed coolant temperature sensor
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0118

could be a connector issue could be the sensor itself has failed

This was my timing chain on my 2011 2.4 code P0014. As Mrs. Doubtfire suggested, Don’t Fuss with it!

And. If it's a LS model it would be a 2.2. Not a 2.4.

And since it apparently is a 2007, with VVT, it must be a 2.4. So LT?

Are you showing that the intake is a link off?

I don't see that it's a link off, and it seems to be tight...

I guess it's the lighting. Maybe there are 2 yellow links.
