Lightbulb Oil Change???

I just bought my 06 HHR. It has 33,000 miles on it. When I turn on the A/C, I can tell that there is a vibration and the engine seems to run rougher. Is this normal??? This is like one of the only 4 cylinders I've ever owned. I'm hoping this is normal...
Thanks, JB

Sorry about the mis-leading "Oil Change" heading...

Well, my 08 Panel does not vibrate, when I do turn on the A/C, the rpms' do automatically increase slightly to compensate for the additional parasitic drag, but no bad vibes.

Just my .02

I don't know how many times we have to have this debate?! Change the oil when the DIC gets to near zero percent remaining!!

Oh, on such a small engine the extra drag of the AC compressor will be noticeable on some vehicles. Should be much at high speed, but at idle you may notice, especially if you are coming from a much larger engine. I can't even tell when I turn the on the AC on my 7.3l diesel

I have no noticeable change in engine performance/operation when I use the A/C in my '06 2lt. And I use the A/C NEARLY everyday.....living in Arizona.

Car is parked in a garage....a/c is turned off. When I start it the next day, I drive maybe 1/4 mile then tirn on the a/c. Don't notice a thing. Course I'm an ol' guy, and miss a lot of things.

Rarely turn the a/c off. Don't notice any difference on or off.

My 08 Sounds a little rough when the A/C is on, As stated Change the Oil according to the DIC, I usually Change mine around 30% the Every 3k is nothing more then a Marketing tool used for year's.
