Talking Ok I'm at it again....

So I got this crazy idea off of one of the Cobalt forums..... So I picked up the M62 blower/manifold/etc etc...and am in the process of putting it all together.

I've been following a couple of threads over "there" about this conversion, but I wondered if anyone here could help where "they" can't seem to.

Anyone have access to, or know the differences in the pin-out on the 2.4 "HHR" throttle body, and the 2.0"Supercharged Cobalt" one?

I've narrowed it down to they "act backwards" from each other. I.E. when the idle is too high on the HHR one it tries to close, and the Cobalt one opens up full throttle instead.

Anyways, it would sure save me some time and energy if anyone knew the wires to swap, but if not I'll figure it out eventually....

Thanks
Jim

Your stock 2.4 throttle body won't bolt up to the supercharger?

I'm not sure of the pinout on the HHR but if you can find someone that works at Chevy (O'Reilly or Watson) they could probably help you out with a diagram of some sort. Hope everything works out on the swap!

BTW, what will you be using for the tuning on the engine to make sure the ECM doesn't freak when you throw positive manifold pressure at it?

I have been following that on the short buss for awhile, you can use the stock 2.4 throttle bodies it will bolt on just fine. I will also assume that you are going to use HPT to tune for the blower, so who is going to tune the car for you

On a side note: this is more for JoeR, I have been reading on EFI live's site that with the new V.7 version that they are able to tune the VE using a virtual VE table, and using a complex mathematical process to alter the dynamic airflow zone coefficients’. Also they have made it possible to add a custom OS for a 2 and 3 bar MAP for tuning boosted applications. Sorry for going Off topic.

I got the Supercharger on, and yes I made the 2.0 S/C T/B work. The pin-out is different, and I cut and soldered/heat shrinked the wires, and it runs decent.

I haven't had a chance to tune yet, and right this moment it's at the exhaust shop getting a bung put in the down-pipe for the wide band O2 sensor setup.

Hopefully this week, I'll have it all buttoned up and ready for some pics.

To answer your question, I have someone with HP tuner Pro who is supposed to help me with the tune up. We are using the stock Cobalt 2.5 bar map sensor btw.

Everything should work fine as long as you can get the stock SC injectors too. Good luck with the swap! I would love to meet up and check out your HHR sometime! Looks killer! I remember seeing it before all the paint got done just driving by!
