2.4L Performance Tech 16 valve 172 hp EcoTec with 162 lb-ft of torque

P0011, temperature, and shifting. PLAESE HELP!

The "typical" cause of failure of the VVT valves is clogged screen, the filter where the oil enters the thing. And glop gets past the screen and clogs the valve part.

Nice it's fixed , now that K&N filter make sure it is not over oiled, some get a little over oiled , if you clean it make sure you don't ever use compressed air to dry it, and just s very light spray to oil the side away from the throttle body, or you will have a MAF issue.

Ok, well I had a chance to test the car on the big hill and a farther drive...

Everything is going good, the temp reached 207 at the top of the hill. But overall only runs 10 degrees more in summer than it did in winter.

The K&N intake is great, adds a deep sound when stepping on the gas, which is what I was looking for! 👍

Gotta love that sound. I have used the K&N filters in several bikes and cars (except the HHR) and love the sound.

Glad you got the issues resolved.
