Performance high voltage ignition coils

Anyone used NPboosted coils ? Is there a big difference between ZZP or NPboosted .

Why do you need "performance" colis ?
You running higher compression ?

They’re just cheap Chinese coil packs. You can find them on alibaba. That’s where zzp got them. They’re junk tho. I have ac delco coilpacks on both my S257sxe LNF and my zfr6758 LHU

All ignition coils are "high voltage", that's what a coil does.

Don
Being an ignition coil is a step up transformer, some have more windings to make more available voltage if needed.
You can have "spark blow out" using a weaker coil with higher compression and not that I've used it but also using Nitrous.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

You are not wrong... But.....

A coil only dumps as much current as needed to cause spark. If any particular engine design (high comp, nitrous, extreme RPM, etc.) is functioning correctly with coil "A" adding hotter coil "B" will not increase performance. The amount of current dump will remain the same for both coils.

MSD didn’t even bother to make coils for the Ecotec

https://www.holley.com/products/igni...gnition_coils/

must not be any profit in that

According to RockAuto, the SS uses the same ignition coils as the 2.4 and 2.2

That's the available voltage.
Lower cylinder pressure might take 20K volts to jump the spark gap.
Higher cylinder pressure might take 40K volts to do the same thing.
So if you buy a "high performance" coil of 50K (available) and the car only needs 20K to fire the plug you just wasted money.
