Please help - 2006 Chevy HHR LT 2.4L problem’s!!

My fiancé and i have had our car now for almost a year. Has 127k miles. Never had any mechanical issues til last month..

it’s throwing codes P0013, P0014 & P0172… before throwing these codes the battery has only been dead once when we came out to start it. Used a buddies jump box - never died again.. about two weeks ago our headlights started flickering but wasn’t enough to notice driving down the road…

for a week now the headlights literally look like I’m flashing someone, enough to where I’m afraid to get pulled over if i leave after dark… ugh then today, the abs, brake light and a couple others went crazy on my dash… my dash then said service air bag and then power steering message also popped up…

ive been told it’s the battery, or the VVT solenoid or the cam shaft solenoid. Where do i start!?

im at a loss and this girl still has half a life left. Whatever needs replaced i can do myself, just need some guidance please!!!

thanks so much, xox Sam

I suggest first , tighten the 4 bolts in the under hood fuse box, really tighten them!
next have a look at the wiring to the VVT solenoids for rodent chewing.
have a look at the flex pipe for cracks and leaks of exhaust and the exhaust manifold for cracks

Inspect first as these codes tell you the sensor is working.

If tightening the fuse block bolts doesn't fix it, head to any chain auto parts store for a free battery load test and charging system test.

The P0013 code

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...13-code-64040/

And the P0014 code

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0014

Possibly could be the VVT solenoids need replacing

The P0172 code

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0172

Could be a dirty MAF sensor
