Contact Vince directly with your questions...... Not all those options are applicable to the HHR 2.2L.

I've had great results with mine, but there were a few things he couldn't seem to do..... Of course I'm going for something different than you probably are. (I went aggressive on everything Vince could get at)

Id like to max it out also. It really irritates me how long it takes to accelerate in this vehicle. Ive only had it a couple of months. My old neon would get up when I pressed the gas unlike my HHR which takes awhile to wind up.. Im on a fixed income so im thinking along the lines of going all out but I want to make sure its safe because if something bad were to happen to my trans or engine Id be in a real pinch.

That's probably the throttle delay you are feeling, one of the most noticed changes with the Trifecta.... throttle response! That delay is gone.

Mine doesn't feel like I put my engine or Transmission at risk. If mine blew I'd be parked. (Fixed income here as well...... and very little of that. ) I wouldn't be able to do a rebuild or do a replacement..... I don't think Vince will push the tune that far, (maybe if asked he would, I don't know) he checks data logs you send him to make sure everything is properly managed, and will make adjustments if needed.

I say send him an email, see what he says.

Mine is pretty much "maxed out" and I have had my tune installed for close to 3 years without any issues. Same with my Auto Transmission, Medium setup for shifting and no issues their and it still spins the tires and still hits 80 in no time at all when passing from 45-50.

Unless information has changed the HHR/SS Tunes are the stealth tunes. And I am still listed on Vince's site as a dealer.

Just enjoying my 26T Bucket. Now with 2 - 1st place trophy's and 2 - Outstanding in class plaques.

I read somewhere that after the tuneup is done you cannot use 87 gas anymore, is that true? Do dealers charge less than $300 for this or is the price the same everywhere?

I wasn't using 87 octane gas before the tune... One of the questions on the tune form was about a "93 octane only" adjustment. I went for that because that's all I run in my 2.4L. I think it's just a timing advance, the knock sensors should still back that timing advance off if need be, I doubt they are disabled. Not sure how this is handled with the 2.2L

Go to the Trifecta site/dealers and scroll down until you see " CHWTuneCenter " and contact them. This is Tom, who posted above.... He will set you up! Great guy.

I run mostly 87 after my tune, 93 on some trips. My mpg avg is 26.5 city driving mixed with some highway and Avg 32 at 65 mph in Wis. but the interstates here are 70 in Minisota. So I have seen 30-31 there on 87. 33-34 on 91 or 93.
