Ladies and Gentlemen - please if you will, for those of you that reset Average speed and MPG on your DIC at each fill up
You need fuel, you pull in the station. You fill your tank and then before you reset : You refer to your DIC and scroll to the Average Speed.
What does the DIC say for your - Average Speed
What does the DIC say for your - Average MPG
Thanks for the help.

Well, it varies depending on when I have reset my display. However, it usually runs around 27 mph avaerage speed (lots of in-town stoplight driving here) and my car gets about 19-20mpg in town, but varies wildly on the highway depending on speed (see my Fuel Economy section posts). It'll get maybe 34mpg or so at 60mph, but maybe 24mpg at 80 mph (so I don't go that speed). I hope this helps. BTW, it is a 2LT, 2.4 liter, GMPP intake. It is entertaining, so I do NOT do the hypermiling deal.....it could get a lot better in-town mileage if I backed off the right pedal. God Bless, Marc
Hey Don, are you referring to what the DIC shows when I stop to fill up?
I get about 20-25 mpg most of the time, stop and go traffic with occasional freeway. And mph seems to always show about that too which I always found odd as I know I drive pretty fast.
Looking forward to seeing you and the Regal Summit White at Tom's.

Depending on what I did for driving. Average speed has varied from 25 mph to 60 mph (all highway). The same for mpg.. the DIC in my car reads about 2 mpg lower than calculated, so anywhere from 25 to 31 mpg. Since the mandated ~10% ethanol, my mpg has dropped 10%.

I pay no attention to the DIC, I just reset it after each fill up, but the AVG Speed usually says 16 mpg, and AVG MPG usually say 230 or so.
