18s by 8.5 these work?

Hello everyone,

I guess 20s arent the way to go for an HHR after all the stuff I have heard about them, I think I would like a little more tire meat on the rims. So I am steping down to 18's once again. I wanted to see your input on these rims if you like them or not, and if you guys/girls have any ideas if they will stick out at all. And if I will have any problems when I lower it with the Eibachs or Goldlines. Thanks for the input.

Well, being a full 2-inches wider than the stock rims, I'd imagine you will need considerable modification to get them to fit without rubbing.

Also, the offset is only 35mm - not good. The stock HHR offset (with a 6.5-inch rims), is +42mm. Most wider rims (17x7 & 18x8), are available in a +45mm offset. The rim you are proposing has less offset then the stock (narrow), wheels and will stick out considerably.

Hope it helps,

Not really, the black ones you mentioned I think look great! But, I do like the stockers (not so) high polished look. Rims just arent high on my priority modifications list. Beside, SoCalHHR's allready has the funds I had set aside for mods when I bought my HHR! I'm about all tapped out! What little I had left just went for Veterinary bills.

Not for me! Don't let that discourage or influence your selection(s). We all have very unique tastes when it comes to pimp'n or not to pimp our HHR's. You gotta go with what works for you.
