i really want 20's, but afraid of the powerloss and MPG loss if any..which from my experience is always happens.

i can get these 20" DIP wheels(D65 in chrome) with tires locally for $1150 out the door. let me know if i should do 18 0r 20's???

well the 18's are $935 with tires so i figured for another $215 i can get 20's with tires...really just need some MPG estimates

well i have had very low profile tires on 20's on much heavier cars like an 87 Cutlass and a 99 Monte, i never thought 35 series rode bad...ever

Mine rides fine with the 20's. It's a little bit more stiff than factory, but it's far from intolerable. I still get 400-450 miles per fill up with the 20's on and that's about 85% highway driving.

see here for more on 20" post.... https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appearance-modifications-discussions-6/wheel-questions-4841/

Ok, here is the deal! This is only my opinion...and it counts for nothing LOL. If you are going to go off stocks..you gotta go with 20"s. I Have 20" DHP wheels with 225/zr20 90w toyo tires. Go BIG..Go WIDE!!! I lowered it 2'' in the front 2.5'' in the back and have a 100lbs of speaker box in the back, roll the fenders a little, do it yourself..but carefully. The wider tires look great to me, it brings the tires to the edge of the wells. The ride is not bad, but it is not like stock. You have to give a little for the appearence. So, to go safe with the better ride... go 18"s, Todd (Uma)
