I think so. What size were the ones on the West Coast Customs HHR?

im seriously beginning to doubt it! im not interested in 20's but im going with 18's. you must remember that these motors are not very big and its gunna be a big loss in power the bigger the wheel and tire.. so if you have the 1lt you may want to go smaller! 18's with 35 series and maybe even 45 series are not much bigger than the stock 17's with tires!

20's i dont think will fit becuz if you look in the fenderwell theres really not much room. but i could be wrong.. i have had and built many slammed cars and belong to a car club (negative camber) so i have experience with this problem and i just dont see the room there. i definetly say you wont be able to lower it if you slap 20's on there!

You can go 22's on the rear and squeeze 20's in the front and rub when you turn, or 19's will work. I put some 20's off a Caddy catera to see what it looked like, it fills in the wheel well but I want a lower stance with mine so Im going 18's

20 will fit but Sean @ WCC says to stay with 19 all around.
22 on rear and 20 on front have been done with mods

well, the recommended tire size for an 18 " wheel on a cobalt is 225/40r18. going from the overalltire diameter, a 20 " wheel should fit easily with a 225/30r20 tire, which is made by bfgoodrich. this wheel/tire combination is identical in the overall diameter when compared to the 215/55r16 tire on the ls and 1lt. So, in essence, if the 18" does not rub why on earth would the 20", given identical rim widths?

Ill let you know once mine gets here for sure

I just installed 18"s with 245/40 18 tires. the wheel shop told me that they had installed 20"s on an HHR. they didn't recommend it because the tire sidewall would be so small for practical driving. They were also very limited in choice of wheel and tire at 20" that would fit. The tire they used was a 225/35 20. This tire would have a sidewall of two inches.

I like the 18"s with a wider tire. But you can run 20"s with the 225/35 20 tires, but you must make sure of the wheel's offset.
