I like the 18"s with a wider tire. But you can run 20"s with the 225/35 20 tires, but you must make sure of the wheel's offset.
do you have any pic's?

225/35r20 would throw off the odometer, but you are right, around town driving would become an obstical course this is why i run 22's on my suv and not 24's the roads where i live are, to say the least, not very good.

not picking a fight here, but did you run 245's all around, or just in the rear w/ 225's in the front? i was under the impression that in order to run 245's properly, you need at least an 8.5" wheel, which will not clear the front strut w/o a different offset wheel. The different offset would make the wheel pop out of the fenderwell.

I have pictures also in this the gallery under JUIced HHR. It is a Silverstone 2LT.

The 245's are not significantly taller than stock. So they don't rub....

Oh yea. I had a typo in the earlier reply. The correct plus size for 20" are 225/30 20, not 35.......

Perfect size Juice! I wouldn't go any bigger (but it's always a matter of taste!). I think I'll choose your size when I move up. Thanks.

thanks.

You're right about the size. The tire shop told me that the 245 was the max.....

I like the look of the 20"s, but for communting 45-50miles a day on the rodes in Houston, I think the small side wall of the 225/30 20 tires wouldn't have been enough to protect the rims against pot holes....

Thanks....

The shop that did my tires said that they had done one with 20"s. I haven't seen it around. If I do, I will try to take pictures (I keep my camera with me) and place in the gallery.
