Thanks for the info, especially those that pm'd me. I'm definately not afraid to cut something like this up myself but I would like more info on how to cut and where.

Anymore info would be great.

P.S. This website is pretty awesome so far!!!

3 bar grille

The use of a Dremel tool is a must to cut out the 2 and 4th bar.
Though I have not made the mod it would not be that hard. I would suggest that with this mod one would want to finish the job by painting the grille and backing it with a screen.
If you are going to paint the grille anyway after you made the cuts, you would want to fill the holes left on the outer side after cutting out the bars. A Bondo kit available at any auto parts store should be used to fill the voids.

I'm actually pretty handy with bodywork and I already have some body filler so that won't be an issue. That is very good info. Thank you. I was hoping to not have to fill and paint but it's not the end of the world.

So, does normal bondo stay attached to the plastic grille? I made my first cut last night and kinda want to bondo the cuts...just trying to decide exactly what filler to use.
