3rd brake light Idea

I wonder if it is possible to replace the 3rd brake light with an LED array.
Kind of like a marquee? So that it lights up as a brake light, but you can switch the word as needed....

Like:
STOP
HHR
Styling
Fool
TooClose

etc?

that would be sweet. they sell atermarket things like that but dont know if it can be wired to brakes

You could probably hack up one of the license plate scrolling LEDs, they are pretty cheap. Probably illegal though, or would at least attract unwanted attention from the "thor-i-tays".

True,
I spotted one at pep boys, it was marked "off-road use only"
