4 Tail Light Mod

So, has anybody considered or done a dual tail light mod on the HHR? I mean taking the backup light assy and replacing it with a brake/parking light assy. This way you would have all four tail lights light up during braking and with the parking lights on. With that said, does anyone have a set laying around they would like to sell? Obviously you would have to relocate a set of back up lights somewhere. Be cool if you could replace the set of reflectors in the bumper to clear lenses with a bulb! Food for thought.

Yep, that looks sweet. Going to add it to my list. Did you do the "cut the lens off" and swap or will a set of tail/brake lights fit in the backup light cutout?

Tail light mod

Love your tail light mod. Is there anyway you could take the time to let me know where you got the lights for the new back up lights and any pointers? I am going to do the mod. I already have blue dots on the brake lights. And I suggest the blue dots would look good on all four tail lights of your HHR and its a cheap mod.

You would have to go to the salvage yard and buy a set of rear lights. They come out easily and swap easily. You wouldn't be able to cut them. Shouldn't cost much ($25.00)

You have to trim the sheet metal a bit if you use a set of upper lights and buckets. Will also.need the.pigtails from a junked car. that was hard part to find.
