Was prowling around on ebay and found the 55-57 Chevrolet script on eBay and looks like a pretty good deal.

Check it out

Looks great-but- If you put them on the outside of your car, it makes for a pain in the a$$ to wax around it.

Check out these on eBay. I bought one of these and it eliminates the problem with waxing. I just waxed right over mine with no build up. This is inexpensive and the shipping was very quick.

Those do look good but they just don't have the same effect.

For decals, you can wax right over it. I meant the chrome piece that sticks out like the emblems on the back of the HHR.

Decal vs Real Script

I purchased the decal from EBay as well. I wasn't impressed. I applied it, and it just doesn't have the feel I was looking for. I've left it on for now, but have ordered the "real" deal from the Fillingstation.com. Of course those are on back order.

Here's what the decal looks like.

Deb
that is what is on my hood
its fun to have to shave the 5 posts, put it on 7/8 or 1 in 3M tape, $9.99 a roll and then take an exacto knife and razor and cut off all the excess but well worth it

I have that exact same decal, but I put one on each side of the hood. As you can see on my sig. That's the one thing about Fillingstation.com, they always seem to have their items on back order. They have some great stuff, but it takes forever to get them in.

Thanks Deb. I bought a set. The price seemed fine. I have seen single ones go for more
It will be a bit of work to get them "sticker worthy" But worth it
I guess I'm thinking less about the portholes now..........
hmmm...........

Hey does any one know where to get the proper 3M tape? NAPA or another auto store? Auto body supply house? Online?
