Lightbulb AA5 on an 07?????

So I have thought long and hard about selling my HHR at times. But a recent visit to the dealer, and some advice by a co-worker who used to be a car dealer, sealed the deal. I am probably never going to sell my car.

Many of you know my HHR is a unique one. A Premiere Edition with Sunroof, Manual Transmission, Leather, etc. I love the way the semi - panels, or the AA5 option looks. How hard would it be to convert my car to an AA5? Cut some panels for the windows - or do I see if a friend who owns a body shop can just get me some quarters....decisions, decisions.

I wonder how fun it's gonna be to paint Cappuccino Frost....just thinking out loud.

If you try to fill in the rear windows with steel, it will no longer be a genuine Premier Edition. From experience owning older pristine vehicles, many would classify this type of modification as being "molested". IMO, keep thinking out loud, enjoy your very special HHR and appreciate it for what it is. If you own it for 20 years, you'll be glad you did. (I have 2 pristine vehicles that I have owned for 20+ years) Again, that's just my opinion.

Yeah, sorry but I would leave it as is...just my opinion though. It's your car, if you want it, go for it!

Last September when my Premiere Edition (7500 miles) got totalled I could of sold it for $14K before the wreck (had an unsolicited offer). I was floored when the insurance called and told me they would settle for $17325 on the total. I would keep it too.

I have a good solution. Keep the premiere edition. AND get an AA5, preferably an SS.

Ohhhh..I like that one. But, I think I should probably buy Jeff's 87 Monte, a friends 71 Cutlass Convertible - then figure out how to pay for them....

Someone on here has a write up on how to make some custom panels and install them over your rear windows. Here's the link I have saved, while not a real AA5 I still think it looks damn good and could be reversed if your really had to.
