Anyone installed a clear bra??
Anyone installed a clear bra??
I drive all highway mostly.. 70-80 miles a day .. I get a lot of bugs n rock chips ... I'm about to have my hood n bumper repainted and was considering the 3M clear bra material .. I think a Colgan bra is not the best idea cause the paint fades uneven
Has anyone done this clear bra and please post pictures

I don't recall anyone CURRENTLY indicating they installed or had one installed. But when the HHR first came out, several of the original owner/members had them. One guy, IIRC, installed his own from a purchased precut kit.......said he would NOT do it again.
I had a clear bra on several of the cars thru the years....the bra material was from 2 different manufacturers. Seemed to give the same results. Don't have it on the HHR or any of my current vehicles....although I should.
A note regarding materials..........many say there is a big difference in materials, thickness of materials and especially installers. So be careful, if you are expecting to retain the vehicle for some period of time.
Oh, and IMO, this is one of these instances where you get what you pay for. Generally the BETTER MATERIALS cost more. For example, although it is relatively new, there is a recently introduced nano material, that does not yellow, retains gloss and transparency and scratches buff out with a micro fiber and heat gun (or just leave it exposed to HOT sun). This material costs twice as much as others. Installation costs are fluid and depend on the installer.
