Clear Bra

Does anyone know anything about this clear bra I see on ebay? I'm only familiar with the stuff 3M has, and the price difference is HUGE. I realize most of the time you get what you pay for, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried this stuff out???

You've seen clear bra? Or you've seen that particular brand of clear bra?

What didn't you like about it?

The one I saw he bought from e-bay. To me it looked cheap. I rather wait for a real bra. IMO doesn't look like it will really protect the front end. I could be wrong.

I had a real bra on my 83 ols cutlass that was painted pearl white. I would take it off when the car was parked, but everytime I drove it (even in the rain) it went on.. Never had any problems.

No Gambler, I think he's talking of the 3M product that is generally cut to fit a specific vehicle, that should be applied by a professional.

I've been researching that myself, but have not made up my mind. I believe several other people spoke of this product before...Tokyo for one. Which reminds me...haven't heard from him in a while.

Here's a thread from the forum that deals with the paint protection film that has links to several companies.

I asked the seller of the ebay auction I posted above how thick their product is. They responded that it's 4mil in thickness. I know 3M is twice that, but I wonder if it's worth twice the price????

I know the 3M is awesome stuff. A friend of mine uses it on all his cars.

Well, if you are having that many questions or doubts about what is listed on Ebay, it's probably better you go with what works best, 3M. Yes. It may cost more, but at least you know it will do the job.
