Arched Spoiler & Running Boards on SS - anyone have pix?
Arched Spoiler & Running Boards on SS - anyone have pix?
I'm going to replace the rocker flares with running boards on my SS.
I am also considering the arched rear spoiler to help keep the back clean.
I already debadged the hatch and like it.
It looks cleaner already.
I like the gold bow-tie on the front but I'll take a few weeks with the de-badged hatch to decide if they'll look better black or gold.
Anyone here replace the SS spoiler with the arched one?
PITA or POC?
Anyone have pix of:
1) SS with running boards?
2) SS with arched spoiler?
3) both?
Especially black but any color would show how the new shapes would work with the SS
Thanks

I dont have an SS but have the arched spoiler and it is in no way going keep the back cleaner. Mine stayed cleaner when I had no spoiler. And if you do replace your rockers with the running boards please let me know I would be intrested in purchasing them from you.
Mrs. DLVRNIT has first dibs on the skirts.
I'll put a best offer ad when I get the running boards.
The SS spoiler keeps any air from flowing down.
I would think that the arched spoiler would at least let it flow down if not aim it down.
In pictures it looks like it would direct air down.

I'm mostly concerned with having to fill the center hole & repainting.
The GM Parts desk 'puter showed the SS spoiler as having 3 attaching points.

The arched spoiler won't keep your rear window or hatch any cleaner then what you have. I am not sure but when you take off the spoiler you have on the SS the other one won't hide the old holes on the ends and you will have to fill the one in the center. what might work is a air foil on the sides like on some motor homes.

You would think but it really doesnt, that was my thinking at first also but boy was I wrong, it seems to get twice as dirty now.
I bounced up & down on the running boards on an HHR at the dealer and they feel as solid as part of the frame.
I already had my mind made up about the running boards but it's nice to see what I'm looking forward to

An added bonus to seeing Chad's ride is I already debadged the hatch and am considering removing the SSs off the doors.
There's Chad's ride with that look already.
Melikes!
