Hey everyone,

I originally bought the panel because I have a above moderate astronomy interest and a pretty pricey telescope. The panel is perfect for hiding it from prying eyes and the sun.

The idea was to convert all of the interior lights to RED so the hatch could be opened and not ruin your night vision. Use the tray in the back for holding eyepieces, star charts, and other gizmos.

What do you guys think? Just L.E.D. all the interior lights, or go for something elaborate.

Don't LED's give off some odd infra/ultra wavelengths? Specialized filters may be the only "purist" way to go.

 

I thought about that. Some just use red cellophane, close to what gets stuffed into gift bags, to "wrap" laptops, cell phones, etc.
That could be one way to go

One of them - to use LED strip. These are used for interior decoration or advertising.
A very diverse palette, you can find any color or shade.
LED strips can be placed around the perimeter of the cab on the ceiling or the floor. Thus it is possible to provide a lighting direction. LED strips can be placed in the natural grooves of the interior, in any other place as your imagination wants.
You can use controller for LED strips. With it, you'll be able to start the light gradually & Adjust the intensity of illumination.
Some manufacturers make adhesive layer on the LED strip for easy installation.
Standard overhead lights in the ceiling you can not break - you'll need it for everyday life.
