I have to vote for the pull down strap. Use some old weather striping, and 2 or 3 cherry max rivets and you'll be golden. Do it in the right spot and it might even look factory. Lowering should only be done with air bags IMHO. I saw a guy named lunchbox who has a full airbag set up. His was kind of riced but done proper as it gets i guess. Great way to get at the tailgate would be hit a button and lower the entire car! If your going to throw you entire wallet at it, like the cobalt springs might as well take it to the next level!

Don't have a whole wallet to throw at it Vic. Wish I did. But; $100 bucks for springs and install I can do.

i did the same setup love the look & ride best bang for the buck !!
I was fooling around with a electric tailgate never came to pass. $$$
