So has anyone straight up removed the beauty bar? I want to or get a plain one anyway.

I have not, but, I have thought about paint matching to the body.

You don't want to remove it. It houses the rear license plate lights and the liftgate latch switch.

There are a couple guys here who have liftgates that are completely smoothed out, no beauty bar or plate recess. There are two of them that I know of.

It'll be easier and less hassle to just paint it.

hah ya, I just checked it out def going to have to paint it. As for painting the rest of the chrome handles, mirror covers, roof racks ends have it too, I tried popping the chrome off but the were pretty tight do they all snapoff? I don;t want to break anything so I didnt put much pressure yet.

im assuming the handles and mirrors will pop off also? i want to sand them down and spray em down

The door handles come off pretty easily, there was a very good howto on removing them posted recently.

The mirror covers are held on by 4 tabs. By adjusting the mirror glass to different positions you can access the tabs with a long, thin flat head screwdriver between the glass and the housing.
