Beginner Mods

Hey, I hate to be a "new guy" but I have relatively little knowledge of cars. I recently decided I wanted to begin learning more about my HHR and possibly start modding it some. I was wondering what were some good beginner mods that can be fairly easily self installed? I have a 2006 model if that really makes any difference.

Welcome to the site JacobHbbrd. There are lots of mods you can do yourself, my first one was a stubby antenna. Got it here. http://stubbyantenna.com/

Mods under $20:

Paint front and rear bowties
Paint drums and calipers
3rd Brakelight mod (vinyl overlay with whatever you want to see when applying the brakes)
Remove all badges
Remove rear wiper
Change over all interior lighting to LEDs
Add nice chrome or stainless exhaust tip
Depending on which wheels you have and the look you are going for, many owners have removed the hubcaps and run the steelie look. A good coat of paint on them and it looks great.

I'm sure theres more but this should get you started.

Is there some good websites to get the parts for some of those?

Alright, thanks man. I was also curious about how difficult is it to put in a new grill?

It's about as easy as can be. Go for it - a 15 minute job, including putting the few tools away.

What about head lights? I don't care much for the stock headlights and I was wanting to get some new ones.
