Some people here have done custom headlights, projectors, etc, but there's not as much of an HHR aftermarket as you might think. Search eBay or Amazon for black Depo headlights.

You should know that swapping them involves removing the front bumper cover, there's a how to here.

Depos are nice but be warned, you have to pretty much pull the front end apart to swap the headlights. Only takes a few hours with the right tools.

 

Undo a few bolts, pull some plastic rivets, unplug the lights and markers, pull the bumper cover off.

It only took me and my roommate about 90 minutes to swap my depos in... what kind of tool-almost-using monkeys are you working with, chef? :)

 

I went with the HID headlights great for night driveing.

 

1-1/2 hours with two men vs. 2 hours with one man...I'd say I bettered you and your friend by a half hour...lol. I'm guessing one of you was drinking beer and reading the how-to :)

Another easy mod, paint the muffler a BBQ black. Really hides it's ugliness from rear.. Especially at stock height..
