That black trim on the front bumper......chrome!!!

I keep looking at the front bumper and thinking to myself, "that black part doesn't look right. It isn't so bad on mine because I the liscense plate breaks it up, but if I didn't need a front plate, I think it would make me nuts. I was thinking of replacing (or covering) it with a chrome plate. I think that might dress it up a bit. Does anyone have any pictures of this peice chromed? If not chrome, any other options for dressing it up?

If so, where can I get the parts to do this? I am looking at this for my 1st appearance mod.

I will also most likely be adding a ghetto mesh grill to the lower air intake on the bumper. I look at that as more of a functional mod than an appearance one though. I will have to check out what my local Menards has in stock for galvinized gutter screens 1st.

Thanks for any help!

Some have painted it the same as there car color. On the lower grill the gutter screens work well just make sure it is on tight. The clpis that come with it will work just have to open them up a little to fit over the screen and the inside of the bumper edge

Race and Street also has an ebay store front as well. But some items, if you order from the actual store, shipping is free.

Thanks! That is just what I was looking for. And the price is right too. I will have to save that site. Looks like they have lots of stuff for the HHR.

They are a vendor here on the site. Just click "Supporting Vendor Index" located just below "calendar" on the 2nd orange bar at the top.

I was looking at the picture on the Race & Street site, and it's just a bit crappy. It actually looks like someone just did a photoshop job on the original picture. Does anyone have the chrome bumper trim installed on their HHR? How does it look? I know that it's only around $30.00, but I am cautious about pulling the trigger on this as my fear is that it will end up looking cheap.

On a positive note, I did install my mesh screen tonight after work. Cost me all of $1.52 at Menards! Thanks to CJ for the step by step instructions. Only took me about 30 minutes to do.
