Dulling your chrome

I recently purchased a 2007 HHR. All black on black leather with chrome package. The only thing I didnt like about the car was the chrome package. Is there a way to dull the chrome? I know I have heard of using a scotch brite pad but thats on non-clear coated chrome. Is the HHR chrome clear coated? And if it is has anyone done this mod with success?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I appreciate it but that would just solve my grill issue. I would still need mirrors, and door handles. Maybe I will put up a trade post.

Blasphemy!

I spend my time dreaming of more bright chrome and the need for sunglasses to view it.

I'm sure you will find someone in the forums to trade with. There are so many new members and folks modding every day. This is the site for making those connections. I do KINDA like the dulled chrome ones and even some of the blacked out ones, but don't tell any one, ..............

sheesh...I am the opposite..I have the brushed aluminum and I want the chrome! Have not seen an aftermarket grill I like yet. The stock one is really close but the bars could be a bit smaller. If I could take the time and money to go to KY I would swap.
