As I said, if the cop wants to look for something, he'll find it. In the early 90s on my Suzi, I had changed out my front sidemarkers to something other than amber, leaving head/tail lights left stock, and sure enough, got sited for them.

Since they light up at night. They will be seen at night. I ran clear bulbs/lenses in the front corners of my truck for 6 years (silverstars in the bumper lamps). Never had an issue. And this was a lowered, loud truck. He smoked lenses that do not flash with signals and the reflectors still work. He is still running red tails and amber front signals. I still bet he never has in issue with these.

These are not his turn signals. These are marker lights that still work at night along with the reflectors.

As I said in my first post in this thread , it's going to be the same as window tints. Some may have probs while others won't.

Turn signals/marker lights......don't they both light up when in use?

Tinting windows is a lot more of a violation that marker lights (unless they are inop). Tinted windows are/can be considered safety threat to cops. That is why those laws are enforced highly. Not marker lights. If tinted marker lights are such an issue, then why are they DOT approved tinted marker lights on the market? Because marker lights are not mandatory, reflectors are, his reflectors still function. Marker lights only have to work and not be in an illegial color (example blue).

You like to roll you eyes a lot don't you?

At least you guys can still get fix it tickets. Around here they stopped issuing them for stuff you did to the vehicle yourself like tinting the windows, tinting the lenses, headlight/tail light covers, and license plate covers. You get a regular ticket with a fine unless you get lucky and get a police officer that lets you go. They still will issue fix it tickets for stuff that you had no control over or didn't know about like if a bulb is out or your windshield is cracked. I personally don't see the tinted reflectors as much of an issue unless the police officer is looking for a reason to pull you over, the police officer is one of those hard play by the book cops, or you get pulled over for something else like a stereo ticket and the police officer wants to throw the book at you. I like the look and think it's worth the risk myself.

Just posted some pics of mine in the Picture forum. For all you bodymen, we just added a small amount of black to some clear coat and shot 'em. Turns out great!
