Bow ties

Just wondering who has ordered any of the bow tie replacements (like the one available via HHR accessories on the front page of this website-link). There are endless colour combinations re carbon fibre/chrome/black etc.

Pics would be great

I'm not seeing this link on the Home page. I'd like to put black ones on my red SS. I'm not particularly fond of the gold.

I bought new emblems and had our body shop spray them black. I didnt like the gold. Since my SS is all black,it looks meaner this way.

You could just paint them (on the vehicle) like me and some other members have done, then you just use overlays on the SS emblems.

you can also wrap them in vinyl. takes 10 minutes. Looks like paint unless you like really close, and you can take it off and change it up if you want. Mine have been wrapped for a year and a half and they're still doing good.

They are overlays at $13.99 each. They have every colour combo pretty much. PartsForYourCar.com 2006-2010 HHR under exterior accessories (last page).

Only problem with overlays is they don't wrap the edges (so you will still see the original color of the bow tie around the sides and the chrome edge). Thats why the one guy vinyl wrapped his and I painted mine. You can still see the chrome outer edge of the emblems on mine, but you also see the chrome edge with the SS vinyl inlays, so to me it still flows well.
