I painted mine, sanded them real good, masked them off and sprayed them with Rustoleum Industrial Enamel-Flat Black. Has taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin'

black plastic paint, no prep looks good but might also spray with clearcoat

Cool. thanks for all the suggestions.
i have the dark grey metallic exterior, so I think I'm going to get Krylon paint and to the outline an aquamarine, and the inside black.
