Whichever silicone product you use, do it yearly and the weatherstripping will last forever.

The dealer took care of it for me as part of a service package. They just sent me a letter and I went in and handed them 30 or so bucks for every thing they did (tire rotation, etc.). Had the oil changed too (synthetic) and it was about 35 bucks. So for under $70, it was a worth it.
