I remember reading a thread (can't find it now) where someone mentioned a cheap chrome exhaust tip at Autozone (or similar store) that fits on the LS Let me know if anyone knows the thread or the part number/place to buy for the tip.

Dont do it, it will rust away in 3 months.

 

Advance Auto, Stainless Steel, double walled, 3 hold down points, no rust, $10.

 

That was me about the chrome tip from Autozone. It really is stainless, I am just old and call anything shiny chrome.

 

My son got one from Autozone for his '09 Cobalt 2.2 for $10 also. It's been on since August and has no signs of rust, but he keeps the car clean and polished.

 

Put one on my wife's and she don't even wash it and hers still looks good after 2 years

 

Stainless comes in many different grades. True 304 is marine grade & no Magnet will stick to it.

I got one for my Wifes ride, she almost never washes the tip either..So I got a 304 stainless 2.25" to 3.5"angle-cut, rolled edge tip for her Dodge Avenger SXT. Give it a lil more attitude..

 

I bought one from autozone and it rusted out in no time. Why did they not put tips on all the cars. I have a 08 SE and it did not even have one on it. Should it have came with one? Which ones would look the best on there and not rust out. This is my wifes daily driver also.

Tip chioce: IMO is a personal choice, what one likes another may not.

One thing I would do is take a small magnet with you, any tip claiming to be 'true' 304 Stainless should not be magnetic at all....

 

Thanks about my sister. She hurts no more and always told me You worry when I start to worry. She never did.

Yeah I know SS should not be magnetic. Just wondering which one would look nice with the body kit.
